Sufficient output conditions for identifiability in blind equalization

چکیده
The problem of input identiiability in blind deconvolution is considered, where the input belongs to a known discrete alphabet. Input identiiability is an algorithm independent property, which does not necessarily imply channel identiiability. Suucient conditions for input identiiability are derived in terms of algebraic relations on the observed output. It is shown how these new results relate to and unify other known suucient conditions.

Identifiability Scaling Laws in Bilinear Inverse Problems
A number of ill-posed inverse problems in signal processing, like blind deconvolution, matrix factorization, dictionary learning and blind source separation share the common characteristic of being bilinear inverse problems (BIPs), i.e. the observation model is a function of two variables and conditioned on one variable being known, the observation is a linear function of the other variable. A ...
متن کاملBlind channel identification and equalization with modulation-induced cyclostationarity
Recent results have pointed out the importance of inducing cyclostationarity at the transmitter for blind identification and equalization of communication channels. This paper addresses blind channel identification and equalization relying on the modulation induced cyclostationarity, without introducing redundancy at the transmitter. It is shown that single-input singleoutput channels can be id...
متن کاملOn the Identifiability Testing in Blind Source Separation Using Resampling Technique
This paper focuses on the second order identifiability problem of blind source separation and its testing. We present first necessary and sufficient conditions for the identifiability and partial identifiability using a finite set of correlation matrices. These conditions depend on the autocorrelation fonction of the unknown sources. However, it is shown here that they can be tested directly fr...
متن کاملBlind channel identifiability/equalizability of single input multiple output nonlinear channels from second order statistics
We explore the utility of second-order statistics for blind identi cation/equalization of nonlinear channels. Under standard assumptions it is shown that the channel cannot be identi ed to within a scaling factor from the output second order statistics, but that the ambiguity is at a level that permits equalization. We show that these results cover cases that the prior literature does not address.
متن کاملBlind equalization of nonlinear channels from second order statistics using precoding and channel diversity
ABSTRACT This paper considers the blind equalization problem for nonlinear channels of Volterra type excited by real i.i.d. symbols. Previous work has shown that under the right conditions the equalizers can be found from the second order statistics of the channel output as long as the number of subchannels exceeds the number of kernels. In order to alleviate this requirement, we consider the u...
